SWA/AA DX'ers

In general terms, stay north of DFW. There are some decent neighborhoods west of DFW and out towards Fort Worth also. Do NOT go into South Dallas or areas around Love Field.

If you have kids do not, under any circumstances, enroll them in Dallas ISD. In the case of school aged kids I recommend choosing carefully and stay north.

During my drive around DFW I thought Grapevine, Colleyville , Southlake, and Coppell looked nice.

My wife liked Grapevine Mall of course. Walked it twice in one day.

Those are all great places to live if you're work for AA, your commute will be < 30 min

Coppel is a great area, and a pretty good BBQ joint over there. Grapevine is nice too. Check out Eatzis if you get a chance, it's right in grapevine and they'll make you a sandwich that will last you a week.

But if I was making SWA money I'd live in Dallas....

I found the whole DFW are pretty nice.....just....no trees lol

Aw Schucks is pretty good too.

I live downtown and there are actually some really nice areas in the center of the city that provide excellent DART access to SWA HDQ. Center City, Oak Lawn, and Uptown are all pretty nice.

Crapton more trees here then in Las Vegas! Heck, there are two in my back yard clogging up my pool filter with flower petals as I speak!

Just be ready for the heat in the summer. It's, umm, plentiful.

Hahahaha.

You are right. I think I was comparing it to the Houston area ( which is pretty flat itself in areas )

You all got that ugly yellow pollen deal going on up there now too ?

I've given up on washing my car.

We are channeling Seattle here currently. It's gray and rainy a lot here. On the positive note, it's making a significant dent in the horrible drought that was plaguing this area.

No "yellow dust storm from Hell".....yet....

I'm moving to Dallas at the end of the week, very short notice. Will be working at Candy Land, Burbank Dart stop....

Any help on places to live would be greatly appreciated, would really like to be within walking distance to a Dart stop, but not a hard requirement. I don't need anything fancy, a studio/efficiency would even work as long as its safe and quiet.
