That's a bummer for sure, and "don't take me bro" but Empire's Ohana set up seemed to have a better product as far as "regional airline service" out of HNL went in my experience.

I’m sorry to hear that, I flew on them last year and came *this* close to applying when I visited HI last winter. Hope they are able to make it work.

I hope not. One thing I hated about the south east US is no matter where you were, Hooters, Publix, Waffle House, Steak and Shake.

Waffle House and Steak n Shake are bad things? Say you have a domestic 50 state overnight...... what would be an ideal restaurant or chain you'd like to walk into?

"Lookin' for direct Honolulu!"

(umm)

I can picture it, some FAA and ATC guy reviewing reports and tracks:

"Hmmm, it seems most airline SLOP 1-2nm right of course. Southwest SLOP seems to be direct to HNL....

Lets be honest, that IS strategic lateral offset - Southwest style :smoke:

One of my good friends was slated for Q400 training and LCA there. Told me he’s no longer going to training. It’s a a real bummer. The question is who’s gonna buy them up and operate them at a loss for a long time.
