A decision is a decision, and it should be respected. Sure, light freezing rain is not a solid wall. However, it does not warrant a suspenion if you have a clean record. Now if you do this on a regular basis, something is wrong. I don't think that it was the case here. A visit to the CP's office should have been enough.

Note the difference between these two definitions. I believe BB was confident in his decision to side with safety on that particular day, in light of recent confusion and clarifications in the DoJet manual. The bulletins likely had alot of Captains with their head in the manuals. I believe the company was arrogant in their opinion on the matter.
