Meh, I still say the website is rather pompous. It reminds me a lot of the "look how great and successful we are" letter I get from my Aunt and Uncle every year for christmas.

If you want to make a website so people can see you are a real person, then post something other than things that attempt to make you look great. Your academic history, and your GMAT scores do not make you likable. they make you proud of yourself.
 
This thread just got interesting.

The reason a "b" in wallyball is funny, is because wallyball has to be about the closest the afa has ever gotten to a "give me" class.

First of all, I can vouch for viper34 and say it is him. I'm going on my 5th year working for his parents' company. He, nor his siblings have been brought up with a "silver spoon" as others have suggested. They are all successful in their own right, and their parents have created a very successful small business that serves general aviation and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Viper himself has made tremendous accomplishments that has helped make our company more efficient and profitable, and he is a tireless worker. He easily works over 70 hours a week in my estimation.

Let's not forget this is an aviation forum; the personal sniping isn't getting anything accomplished. Let's learn from this accident, and also be thankful for the men and women of the NOAA and the Coast Guard for their fine work during the rescue operation.

Lifejackets/rafts > treading water

Wallyball= hard.

gne in prog - wallyball was a totally crappy class. I mean, who the heck plays wallyball? Is it even a sport outside of the AF academy?

poser765 - I've never spiked my hair. I supposed the picture looks spiked because the hair is short.

HeyEng - don't hate. Why the comments about the FBO business? I work my ass off 60-70 hours per week, and I have been working that many hours per week since I left the AF. I'm trying to make my own way. I have seriously done plenty of good stuff in my life. Why all the negativity?

On the issue of the court martial: I didn't make any money off what they accused me of doing. The AF moved my family plus all my belongings and car to Alaska. The AF ordered me to send my family there while I was on a remote tour outside the country. I sent all of the housing allowance to my wife, but she chose not to live there. After I divorced her, her father had me accused of fraud, which I thought was total BS. That guy has always hated me, and he used his position as a high ranking AF officer to get even.

To all: unfortunately I can't talk about the crash because it is still under investigation.

First off, we have never met (at least as far as I know). Your name just rang a bell but I don't remember where from. It could have been the AF rag or something similar. Honestly, I just don't remember.

I will admit...I added fuel to the fire by posting about the GCM stuff. As a matter of fact, I was going to go back and delete it, but it was already out and being discussed so that would have been for naught. Regardless if people think I was "flaming" is there anything that I have said that is not honest? The only evidence that I see about the GCM was the appellate finding(s) which was indeed guilty. I don't know what happened and there are two sides to every story, so I can only go on the FACTS of the matter. You may disagree with what the court found, but it is what it is. I was once married to a vindictive woman, but somehow I avoided getting a GCM. Anyway, this all very irrelevant anyway and I personally apologize to Doug for doing what I dislike so much...posting stuff that really had nothing to do with the crash.

I also apologize about the comments in regards to your family business. I know where you're coming from and you have probably heard snippets about "being rich", "no worries in life", etc. your entire life. I have heard them too and they suck...so all I can say is that I was truly in the wrong for that and I am sorry.

I am glad that you survived and when all is said and done, it would be great if you could come back and share your experiences with us. You and I were fortunate to have had water survival training that a lot of civilian pilots have not and to actually share some of the thoughts, feelings, etc. would be awesome.

One last point...you have no defense on getting the low grade in Wallyball. Own up to the fact that you weren't very good at it...m'kay?

Yes, its open water survival. I've been through it, and really learned a lot. They didnt really emphasize treading water too much, instead they showed ither techniques like using your jeans/pants as a makeshift lifejacket, dead man's float, etc.

It is amazing how well a pair of jeans can function as a flotation device. I didn't really care for the deadman float, but both are easier than treading water.

I thought the guy's name looked familiar and low and behold, he was dismissed from the AF a few years ago for defrauding the guberment for 20K. I can't believe he only got a dismissal! They would have thrown me under the jail!


And that's funny...on his "personal stalking page" (?) he forgets to post all the court martial stuff on there. I wonder why? :)

WOW. This guy reeks of insecurity. This is the kind of no game jackass who walks up to women in the bar and tells them that he's an F 16 pilot thinking that it will grant him instant access to their pants. Thankfully it does not (at least to the hot ones) as indicative of the girl in the picture at the bottom of the photos on his stalker page.
 
Things I have learned from this thread:


1. Jeans can be used as a flotation device
2. This guy had sex with his mom!
