What is your favorite brand / model of shades? What are the most comfortable with headsets?

This is a question I have had forever. Nothing seems to fit well with my zulus. At one point I was buying and taking back a pair of raybans or oakleys every other day to try and find something comfortable. I've tried at least 15 different types of fits. I now just wear my raybans so they sit on top of the ear cups. I've seen this with a lot of other zulu guys too. Any one else find something comfortable that doesn't mess with the ANR?

Costco has some aviators that are really nice.Kirkland is the brand. Fully polarized with anti reflective on the inside of the lenses. $35 and they will replace them if they get scratched. Never again will I buy any of those $100+ sunglasses.

Very comfy under my Zulus

I picked up a pair of AO original aviators last summer and I couldn't be happier.

Very nice quality glass lenses, full UV protection, and the bayonet temples fit and feel great under headsets, no seal problems.

I got mine in 55mm so they aren't Hollywood huge, with true color grey glass lenses and matte silver frames. I love the look, with the classic aviator theme, yet not Tom Cruise douchie.

$40 from OpticsPlanet.com makes them a killer deal - OP also has great customer service. I ordered the wrong size (52mm was way too small) and they swapped them out with very fast shipping. http://www.opticsplanet.com/ao-original-pilot-sunglasses.html

Strange. I've got the original Zulus and never have problems, even with the wayfarers.

Zomg! Polarized are a violation of the FARs!
In all seriousness, I've only had problems if I tilt my head sideways like a dog, which I don't tend to do. I haven't really used them in an all glass cockpit though. It does make polarized windshields look really weird with a rainbow effect, but I've never ha problems in GA planes.

big fan of my non polarized bole recoils

cant see a single screen in my jet with polarized lenses.

Maui Jims with wire temples. Good UVA & UVB protection so the retinas don't get fried, but the polarization makes the plexi & gauges a little crazy sometimes!

I have a pair of off-brand non-polarized prescription sunglasses. They do the job. If I wear contacts, I get $15 Walgreens specials, which end up getting busted up in my kit bag anyway.

The first person to show up at the jet with aviators gets a wedgie.

Rayban Predator in gunmetal^^
-sturdy: dropped them couple times on acciden no scratches
-comfortable: longest was 6h, then i remembered i had put them on
-can be used in twilight. basically the glasses are not that dark for low light situations but also have a decent protection on really bright days. even use them on long night drives not to get blinded by opposing traffic^^
got the Lightspeed Sierra - works great in combination.
