Incidentally, the NTSB determined the cause of the Alaska-at-SNA smash to be improper overhauling and machining of the whoozywhatsit on the main wheel.

No new mistakes, etc.

Had an issue with a black magic box with the engine that caused a 2+ hour delay in RSW tonight. I got the impression the mechanic would have preferred it to be a simpler whoosywhatsit or thingamajig but we made it out of there so that’s a plus.

Though it meant another night in the vapid wasteland that is Ohio so maybe our escape wasn’t as fortuitous as we had hoped.

You’re going pretty hard for Boeing when no one blamed them. You can ramble at me for the next statement I’m about to make; I wouldn’t trust Boeing to build a birdhouse at this point after seeing the quality of our new 76’s.
