Sun Country New Route MSP-STN

I'm happy because I just found out that Sun Country Airlines is starting service between Minneapolis and London Stansted this summer! Only thing I don't like is the fact that they are going to be using Boeing 737-800s.

Nice. MSP doesn't have much in the way of international (Canada doesn't count) flights, does it? This is good for the area.

Air Canada crosses the pond in A319s several times a day, so I don't see the issue with a SY doing it with a 738. Good for them, glad to see some movement at SY. I looked it up in the computers at work and it looks like the flight will only be a few times a week and will include a stop, not sure where.

I don't know why they would use a seven three. Certainly a plane that could actually make it non-stop would be better.

Once, and its YYT-LHR, a shorter flight than a US transcon. Not exactly comparing apples to apples.
Oh its just once and one route now? I remember reading an article about them launching more trans-Atlantic A319 service a while back, guess it stopped. Thanks.
