Summer Programs at A/C Manufacturers

Hi guys,

I'm one of the younger members here (still in HS), and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do this summer. Just a quick background on myself, I'm planning to be an engineering major in college, and am currently working towards my private. I'm wondering if anyone (Boeing, Airbus, Cessna, Piper, etc etc etc) has some kind of summer thing for High School Students? I've done a little bit of searching, and haven't found too much, so does anyone know of anything like this? Does it not exist?

You can always call the Mfg themselves, especially HR. Sometimes there is no program, but certain departments can use interns and may create a program just for you. I know when I was in the flight ops internship at Independence Air, we have 4 or 5 interns that were funded through our program, but were hired by 1 or 2 staff members in a different department, like maintenance or publications. Just because they don't have an established program doesn't mean they aren't interested. Expect little or NO pay. No pay is the most common.
