I would think that thrust vectoring would be a huge tactical advantage in a dogfight. It would be nice to see the US develop something similar.

I think the f-22 has vectoring vanes but the JSF definatly uses full blown thrust vectoring as well as VSTOL capabilities.

Yeah, the F-22 has these weird thrust vectoring flaps, as opposed to the round nozzles on some of the other jets. Gotta keep it stealth!

I think I saw a special on thrust vectoring on Discovery Wings (imagine that). If I remember correctly, they used an F-16 as the test bed.
