Stupid People

Or when you have to wait for two or three or more groups of people to cross the street because the moron in front of you doesn't know how wide their car is and that they can actually go in between the groups of people and continue on their way. It's exactly like what I've stated above. People are oblivious to what's actually going on around them. It's exactly like this one time someone got pissed at me for doing a burn out(no not in the olds :)), but they yelled at me for speeding. Open your F#$KING eyes and look to see how fast I'm actually going. Which was 15mph at best, if that. I think all these people are completely incapable of noticing rates of change or something. If they yelled at me for doing a burn out, fine. That's understandable, I probably would too. :)

Or when I'm drifting around in the snow on a completely open road or parking lot aside from a car 2 miles behind me and having them come up and try to lecture me are damn near get in a fight with me because they think I'm driving to fast or driving irratic. It's only irractic to the morons that don't know what I'm doing and suck at driving so much that they couldn't possibly do it themselves. Therefore, I can't possibly be skilled enough to do what I'm doing.:mad::mad: When I used to drive an S10 I would always get up next to said irrational thinking dick and pull a powerslide 180 around the front of their car. Oh man does that get them pissed. :D

Tom remember that time we did tandem drifting down that secluded street over fresh snow and the guy way behind us stopped to yell at us? He tried to move his big Ford truck in front of my car to prevent me from getting away... "citizens arrest!" Haha, whatevah......

But yes, one time I did a burn out after backing out of my driveway in my old 75 HP 84 ft-lbs torque 1983 Honda Accord (this was in CA mind you) and some stupid old lady neighbor called my MOTHER to bitch out that I was driving too fast. This was when I was 18 I think. I was obviously only going 0 MPH because I wasn't going anywhere in that cloud of smoke :D

Wow, that car did some really good burnouts... no wonder the CV joints were always going out :D ...... I won't do it on my current Honda. REALLY hard on the car. Better to burnouts/donuts in a RWD car... won't hurt it at all ;)

That was rediculous. I was kind of hoping he was gona turn in front of me after trying to block you, because then I could have done huge drift around him and sped away like a smart ass. :D I think it would be awsome if you and I could just drive around on devils lake after the auto-x there. Tandam drifting galore, and I'm talking about going way above our ability right now and getting within a couple inches of eachother. That would make an interesting picture. lol Friggen grandma car up next to a civic both of which sliding around a corner with a 50 degree rotation angle. haha

Yeah that about RWD cars. I used to beat the living hell out of my s10 with 235,000 miles on it. I think its funny, you take a differential apar on a FWD car and what do you find? Crap is damn near worn down to nothing, not to mention the CV joints dont really like it. Take anything in the driveline apart on a RWD car and its perfectly fine. :nana2: Well mostly, depending on what you do. :)

This is off topic, but I saw TXaviator's avatar and it reminded me about Borat, the movie. Do you guys think it will actually play in Grand Forks?

TX , pedestrians always have the right of way,as far as UND is concerned, that's why the speed limit is 20mph, so you can stop for them; Read the UND code of conduct, it spells it out for you, including the fact that if you're vehicle is operated at a speed that does not allow it to stop in time for a pedestrian, it is a wreckless op. Not something you want on your driving record, especially if you're going into aviation, which I assumed you are. Also keep in mind ND is not that bad for pedestrian accidents, in fact, texas is nearly 60% worse, according to the TX DOT and state attorney's office, from 1994 to 1999, 86 pedestrians were killed in the city of Austin alone, and of those 30 were under the age of 20, that's more than the entire state of ND from 1995 - 2000.:yeahthat:

3. Operating on Public Streets:
If you operate on public streets, please do so in accordance with all North Dakota and City of Grand Forks traffic laws.

thus

as per North Dakota Century Code

39-10-29. Crossing at other than crosswalk.
1. Every pedestrian crossing a roadway at any point other than within a marked
crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection shall yield the right of
way to all vehicles upon the roadway.

or if AT A CROSSWALK (which most of these idiots are not)

39-10-28. Pedestrian's right of way in crosswalk.
1. When traffic-control signals are not in place or not in operation, the driver of a
vehicle shall yield the right of way, slowing down or stopping if need be to so yield, to
a pedestrian crossing the roadway within a crosswalk when the pedestrian is upon
the half of the roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling, or when the pedestrian is
approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger.
2. No pedestrian may suddenly leave a curb or other place of safety and walk or run
into the path of a vehicle which is so close as to constitute an immediate hazard.

I said GOOD DAY, sir.

wow, take a mathematics class.

think to consider that Austin TX has more people in the CITY than this entire freakin STATE??? of COURSE there is more accidents. the only RELEVANT statistic would be PER CAPITA.

All right guys, time to tone it down. Feel free to get in each other's face somewhere else, but while you're in Doug's living room you need to stay civil.

If you need me to I'll be happy to point out the offending statements, but seeing as how you should all be legal adults and are working on a college education, I'll assume you guys can figure it out by yourselves.

Don't let me down.

acronyms ok/not ok?

(serious question, thanks!)
Serious answer - depends on the meaning.

FWIW = O.K.
STFU = Not O.K., and for two reasons. First, one of the words is software censored on this site, thus not acceptable language, especially in a publicly accessible forum. Second, when used as above it is inflammatory and derogatory in tone and not conducive to civil conversation.

University streets are allowed, by the university, to be self governed, that's why you'll rarely see a city cop driving down University, and the reason for having campus PD, I don't see how you think this is a problem, have some courtesy and stop for the pedestrians.

I'll be the first to admit that I never yield to those stupid pedestrians on University if they get in my way while I'm riding. If they get in my way, knowing they'll be taking my precious momentum away, I buzz them two inches away so that they learn their lesson.
This one girl one time crossed the street on her cellphone w/o ever looking to the side, I observed her from 200ft away while riding...NEVER looked for traffic, so I decided to buzz her as close as I could so that she could get scared. The girl screamed she was so scared when she saw me pass at 25mph two inches away from her.
I think what I did was important because that experience may have saved her life in the future. You just don't go out into traffic without looking. Extremely stupid.
I think the riddle "How did the chicken cross the road?" should be changed to "How did the ND'an cross the road?"
