Students Now Leaving Atp After Multi Commercial?

Here’s the deal. You can ‘opt out’ of CFI school and receive your choice of either; $2,000 or an additional 15-hours of XC in the Seminole. I’m starting CFI school on March 3rd and my flight partner decided not to do CFI school. This may be the worst decision you can make. You will never, I repeat, NEVER get these three ratings for just $2,000 ever again.
Put your head down and study for a week, pass the check rides and off you go. I believe in giving yourself as many ‘outs’ as possible in life. Your CFI’s are hours that will be pay you back for a lifetime! Many of the guys that do not do CFI school are worried that it is hard. Airline training is hard…if you fail there you’re fired, if you fail at CFI school, simply do a recheck and move on.
Oh yea…If you get assigned Walt for your initial MEI check ride REFUSE and ask for another examiner.
Fill you your pilot's license with as many ratings as you can!!

What location is the examiner Walt at? P.S. Does any1 here who attending the ATP JAX location know what examiners to be aware of at the JAX facility maybe it could help the new students going to JAX. Any1 remember names? Those examiners that are tough, or, easy? Any info will be appreciated

Quick heads up to you guys: You wont be able to choose your examiners while training at ATP. Especially for your CFI checkride since the FAA wont allow it.

Many of the rumors heard about examiners come from applicants who failed and are quick to make excuses for their failure. I've sat in on oral exams...and you would be surprised what applicants can make up or twist around to make the examiner look like the bad guy.

On a side note: Do you want to just go to the location with the easiest examiners and slide through all of your training, only knowing the checkride? When I finished my CFI initial, hardest checkride of my life, I felt like I accomplished something.

You shouldnt pick a location based on how easy the examiners are. In fact, I feel kind of sick now.

It's not a matter of getting the easier examiners so you can slide through the training. If a pilot is dedicated to learn, he/she will be able to do any manuver flawlessly with practice. But sometimes, with tough examiners and with the stories you hear about them it can make an APPLICANT VERY NERVOUS and performance may be drastically REDUCED and someone may NOT fly up to their potential due to the nervousness and intimidation by those examiners that do that. And plus, lets face it, a failed checkride equals more money to spend for those rechecks. I'm pretty sure no one wants to spend more money than they have to also. It was just a question asking which examiners should the new students be aware of so there is an idea of what to expect when the checkride comes.
