I think it makes a large 141 school look standardized and professional, but beyond that it's a tad ridiculous
I saw a kid soloing a 150 in cargo shorts and a captain's shirt/epaulettes once. At a part 61 school. There's a scar left over from the facepalm.
Believe me...once you are required to wear the monkey suit, it is no longer cool (that of course would be implying it ever was). We would wear shorts and flip flops in the RJ if we could.

nothing a polo shirt can't fix.
any other positives I'm not seeing here? Why is this standard for the 141 world?
In the dead of winter, with a scarf and goggles!
Per arm, right? The more the better. Five stripes minimum. Ten if you won the plane-spotting contest.
Or jean shorts, right?I don't get it. If I could fly my airplane in shorts, flip flops (or boat shoes) and a shirt, I so would!

Fixed itIt can wait until you'vegotbought the airline job.
The epauletts arent as bad as CAP and their flight suits.
Nah, I said cargo shorts, not glittery Lt. Dangle shorts. Was it Chasen?
