Student Pilot Certificate Question . . .

It is my understanding that a Student Pilot Certificate which is located on the flip side of my medical is good for 24 months after the issuance of the medical.

I got the medical then took a break from flying. Now I'm back into it. That 24 month window is approaching. What do I need to do in regards to the Student Pilot Certificate if I don't successfully complete my checkride by the deadline? Do I have to re-do the medical?

Go to the FSDO and they can issue a new one. Take your valid medical (the old student license) with you.
