I have a student that has a lazy eye. He has 20/20 corrected in his right eye, but his left is eye isn't quite there. However, he can see perfectly fine with both eyes. Will getting a 3rd class be an issue?
He needs to have the eye doctor complete a form 8500-7 to submit to the FAA. If one eye is less than 20/40 (for private) or 20/20 (for commercial) he will need to get a medical valid for student license only and take a medical flight test before he gets his final license.
