Stuart vs. Jacksonville

I decided to get my PPL before I went to ATP because I can do it now while I wait to go.

Now I don't have to goto Jacksonville if I don't want to. I have heard Stuart is better. What so you?
 
I would often times do touch and go's in Jacksonville to satisfy any landing and t/o requirements that I had and then I would fly south to KSUA to refuel. I did this mainly because the fuel was less expensive in in Stuart. I fly out of Ft. Lauderdale so it made sense for me fuel wise and every thing else
 
The price for the ACPP doesn't go down if you go to Stuart, right? Why does it matter about the price of gas?
 
You dont have to worry about gas, its included, and we know you started your private. You posted in ATP forum, remember? ;) ..Anyway, I'd reccomend Stuart. The aparments are much nicer, and you don't have to deal with the "suits" at JAX. Now find a forum to post the updates under!
 
I don't know man. I have spent a lot of time in the 904 (JAX) but I am thinking that Stuart is going to be a nicer area at least.
 
Have someone move my post to general and I will continue to post their for the PPL before ATP.
 
If you're looking for some type of nightlife and late night action in between flying & studying, then JAX is the place to go.:insane:

Otherwise, Stuart is the place for you. Great beaches, outstanding restaurants, & the Jensen Beach Mall and surrounding areas. It's where I hope to flight instruct.

Well there is a pretty darn good sushi resturaunt right down the road from the apts if u like sushi (and can afford it)...Other then that, LARRYs SUBS BABY!

And for anyone that has been, can someone tell me if the fat kid working there is a guy or girl? Im quite baffled.

Umm...I believe its a guy. Scary. Larry's subs is good, but I did a lot of hangin out at Hooters, Winghouse, a bunch of bars nearby, the Jax landing is usually pretty good on the weekends. Gotta check their schedule online though, I ended up there on some christian night and couldn't even get a nice booby look. :D

Jax is fun if you have a good crowd to hang out with. The bar down by the beach is probably the best, lots of people there even on weeknights. Good times.
 
There is TONS of stuff to do in SUA. I'm not a huge fan of JAX as far as the city goes and especially the environment at ATP in JAX. SUA is a lot more laid back and in my opinon easier to learn in. Nice beach in either place and I don't know if they are still doing it, but every wednesday night was Bowling and Karokee at the Ale House. Fun stuff. And if you want night life, West Palm is only 30 minutes away.
 
Sunday was dollar game night at the bowling alley......Tiki bar was cool, but The Refuge was better....Wahoos was cool too... Stuart was the best
