strike yourself out of a job

Well clean up your Pepsi, you don't want to get ants.

As to SWA, very simply, the employees are highly motivated and they actually enjoy working for the company.

Doug, as you know, I have or have had dealings with a ton of airlines, which includes: Delta, American, Alaska, United, US Air, Hawaiian, Aloha, Airtran, Midwest, & a bunch of other US carriers that I am too lazy to type out, & an assortment of non-us airlines. My dealings vary from the Back office workers, to the flight attendants, to the mechanics, to the pilots.

What I mean by a non-union mentality, is that the people at Southwest have a can-do attitude and for a low-cost carrier, they actually pride themselves on their customer service skills.

Now if you want to spit out your Pepsi & treat me as a novice in the airline industry, by all means, do.....:)

Uh, real quick, if the unions are so bad and have created so many problems explain how the only unionized entity at Delta has never struck. I dunno, but to me, that is more than enough proof of a "let's get it done" attitude.

I'm sorry to bore you with my dim-witted opinions and questions. I'll admit I'm not on the up and up. I don't know all the answers, but I guarantee you that no one else here does either. Thanks for the other comments in the post..I learned something

Which is why Google exists and many people have referred you to already.:)

Google will work wonders. 2 seconds and I came up with a pretty good number from a fairly recent article. Do the work.......

Okay this is off topic but I thought I would attempt some comic relief for a second. This is pretty funny for all you anti-Bush people. Go to Google search the word "failure" and click the Im Feeling Lucky tab instead of the Search tab. I guess the Google people do not care for Bush :)

Another thing I forgot to mention about Southwest is Pilot's moral and the fact that the airline is managed well. You never hear about pilots moaning about management and about how they feel the airline is run. You do hear customer complaints about Southwest as far as the size of the seats, but this is also what makes the airline profitable. Every seat that can be filled is filled.

Watching the show Airline, the main complaint I see is Southwest always overbooks their flights.

while your at it, strike so all the other people who rely on Delta to provide a living for their family cannot do so anymore. Unions are for people who cannot think for themselves or are incapable of making a statement for change. Unions are for people with a sense of entitlement no matter the condition of the industry they chose as their profession. get another job. That's what other people have to do when their company or industry goes under. Unions are for the weak. If you want change then just do it yourself. I'm sick and tired of people who have an inflated sense of entitlement.

They say "Ignorance is Bliss"...

Why is it the most retarded posts get the most pages? First "A thread with 1000 posts", now this!

I don't know exactly what level of dipsh'ttitude you have to be ranked at to go on a website owned by a Delta pilot and ooze out such a blatantly gratitous inflammatory pile of dung as the start of this thread, but it has to be right up there with this guy.

Mike, its not hard to come to work and wanna try hard when you work for a company that compensates you well and doesnt try and stick it where the sun don't shine. Do you honestly think these people would be so happy go lucky if southwest all of a sudden imposed 32.5% wage cuts, reduced vacation time and made them work more for less money?

Your statement said that they have the can-do attitude right? Well I'm sure a lot of people would have the can-do attitude if they got back most of what they were making, and maybe, just maybe kept up with inflation in their salaries.

You're stretching, anything to prove me wrong, those airlines that I mentioned, most of my dealings with them were before their pay-raises, after the pay-raises, & after the pay-cuts. Never once do I remember anything changing, whether good or bad.....
