strike yourself out of a job

while your at it, strike so all the other people who rely on Delta to provide a living for their family cannot do so anymore. Unions are for people who cannot think for themselves or are incapable of making a statement for change. Unions are for people with a sense of entitlement no matter the condition of the industry they chose as their profession. get another job. That's what other people have to do when their company or industry goes under. Unions are for the weak. If you want change then just do it yourself. I'm sick and tired of people who have an inflated sense of entitlement.

Take care!

If you can't handle the heat, walk, nay RUN away from professional aviation as fast as you can.

Unions are for the people that realize that the company doesn't give a **** about you. If you think otherwise, you might consider removing your head from the sand and checking out reality sometime.

Thats not true all of the time. The reality is that alot of unions dont care and are only there to protect the mess ups and do nothing for the hard workers. Thats just from my ecperiance, but I also agree that there are some unions (ie ALPA) that fight hard for there members, sometimes too hard.

If you don't like Unions, just don't join one. In fact, leave the industry!

I think you might wanna do that now . . .

You my friend are the direct result of a thorough brain washing by the corporate media in this country that we call FAIR AND BALANCED.

Please oh please pull the sheet away from your eyes and look around you.

He's entitled to his opinion just like you. Sometimes you have to think of it from the other side to see why people think this way.

Nah, nothing with Riddle at all. Remember, I'm a proud five-year graduate of ERAU PRC.

Just that the people with the most voracious opinions about organized labor generally have (a) no experience with organized labor or (b) no airline experience.

Trust me, been there, done that, earned the t-shirt.

your right. There are many companies that do not give a #@$%6 about their employees. Everyone knows that. I personally do not care to be a part of a union. I believe in the individual. What happens when you are not in the majority when it comes to an issue ? I will say that Unions may have their place in certain industries, and aviation could be one of them.

I do have a problem with closed minded people who ignores the debate / issue and simply walks away.

Do me a favor and read insted of jumping to conclusions. I said that ALPA was a good union but there are some (like my dads) that do the exact opposite. I said nothing about the airlines other than saying good things about the holly grail of pilots, ALPA

Exit Stage Left !
Take Your Ball and Go Home!
What color is the sky in your world?

And by reading:
the other people who rely on Delta to provide a living for their family cannot do so anymore

These people can follow your reasoning and:

get another job. That's what other people have to do when their company or industry goes under

thank you. it's an opinion. that's it. beyond that, I thought it would stimulate a debate tht may be educational. brainwashing....that's when you are not open to others ideas and.......mrivc211...you are a prime example of that

That will never happen on the internet. Learned that the hard way every time.

I agree Unions suck. I mean, I wanted to open a factory but these stupid unions told the government that I couldn't hire 8 year olds. Also, they said I had to pay overtime and give workers Saturdays off.

Seriously, most of the things we enjoy as workers were given to us by Unions. 5 day work weeks, 40 hour work weeks, overtime etc. You shouldn't blame the pilots, instead you should push for the rest of the company to unionize, bring everyone into the fray. It's not that management is inherently bad. It's just that if they choose to be, you have no recourse without collective bargaining.
