With the ESG, the Stratus is hardwired and mounted behind the panel. You don't even see it anymore. It comes on when the avionics master is turned on. With it connected to the ESG with the interface cable, it's also connected to the external GPS and ADS-B antennas so that it's getting the best signals for those. So it's not using its internal antennas anymore.

my financial situation has changed and I'm not flying as much as I would like so I'm getting rid of my stratus II. Used maybe 5 times. Works great. Includes box, charger, manual, and sticky dash pad. Let me know if you have any questions. $750.00

Why the interface cable from Stratus II to the transponder? Stratus II works fine without the transponder.
Stratus II needs the ADS-B out component of the transponder to ping ground stations for all traffic alerts; right now you're only getting traffic alerts from aircraft that currently operate ADS-B out transponders. Maybe there's some other component as well

Is this still for sale?
