Could this be right? Holy cow! If so, you Wisconsin-ites need to duck and cover heh!

Wow! Thats crazy!

Fortunatly here in NJ its about 90 degreez, but feels like damn near 100!

Ahh, my kinda weather!:bandit:

Yep, 71K is definitely possible. The other night I watched a cell with tops at FL690 cross over my city, Lincoln, Nebraska.

I love the midwest.

Seriously, I do, no sarcasm intended.

Certainly knew it was possible, but never actually witnessed it. Yikes. We are supposed to do an Appleton, WI turn later but I highly doubt it now. Storms are headed to ORD right now and it is going to get nasty later.

btw...next time I am in Lincoln I will hit you up! I am at the Holiday Inn right now downtown. Getting ready to head to the airport though for some fun times :)

Did a Nap there last night - we had do go south and west a ways to get around the long line of cells to the southeast before heading back to ATL this morning.

Anyone else catch the light show last night up there? I was crossing Lake Erie when lower Canada was getting rocked. Beautiful to watch.......from a distance.

We picked our way thru a nasty line over Lake michigan...Landed at MKE and when I got the hotel the entire eastern side of Wisc was under a tornado warning.....Awesome.

Some pretty nasty storms up there. Our farm didn't get it too bad, but a friend of mine who lives up by the Dells (Sauk Co.) texted me to tell me they were under a tornado warning and that he was out on his front porch watching the storm. I told him to get his sorry butt into his basement!

We've had massive flooding here in IND. Some interstates near here are shut down, and there's scads of flooding, and somewhere not too far away a dam has burst. Fun times!

Radar isn't a very accurate way of determining the tops of thunderstorms.
I've seen storms on that website that were 74k in vermont and then 15 minutes later they were 25k. If a storm has alot of hail it can distort the accuracy of the top report.
