Stop flying for free!!

Goonie

Never say die
OK I might get alot of people mad but im tired of people asking me to ferry their airplane or give them flight lessons for free. It gets me so mad when I see other CFI's willing to do it for the flight time.I love to fly but I also paid alot of money for my education and i've earned the right to start getting paid. Thats why the regional airline pilots and CFI's get paid less than the poverty level because I'll bet you anything that if American Eagle or Express Jet opened thier doors and said they will hire you but wont pay you the line would be around the building.

Please I beg all commercial pilots and CFI's dont be a • stop flying for free!!!

Skymates has no ties to Gulfstream and we try to sway people against these type of courses.

oh i know skymates is good people, i m probably gonna finish my multi there.

The problem is that people get dead set on this snake oil and won't listen to you no matter what you say. They wanna know "the positives" of doing scab-like behavior.

I tell you Ryan I'm 33 years old and have it really bad to jump on any wagon headed toward the show. But lately after reading the posts about Whoring yourself to the industry it made me think twice about a PTW program that I was just about to negotiate with a buddy of mine. I felt I was cutting my own throat and many others at that. Its alot more serious an issue than I thought. I declined the offer and had decided to buy my own Cessna and fly the hell out of it instead. It may take a little longer but my hands are clean and I'll know I did my part in aviation before the whole thing goes 180.

Working/working for it ... just like every other civie pilot that has come before you ...

There are no shortcuts in this business ... try to cut the line and we cut you. Just like the "Getaway" ads on TV (for PS2) re. "the rules of the London Underground."

The only thing about building your multi-time by instructing is simply that some FBO's require up to 200 hours of multi-time before you can begin instructing in them, something about insurance. Or at least that's what a CFI told me.

BTW I could barely understand the initial post. I think there were about 10 commas that were desperately needed.

Probably 200 hours of dual given. Why would anyone want to instruct to build multi time if they already have 200 hours of it?
