Stop asking ATC the score!!

Gives the Supes something to do. At the speed ours work you'd have plenty of time to cover your ears and read Moby Dick aloud cover to cover before the update unless I just left the break room.
 
Some have ADF and some don't. I prefer watching the game though. Normally I have time to turn down the volume real quick, but this was a freak occurrence in which I had just switched over and lo and behold, the score is being broadcast over the airwaves. So I am ranting. Forgive my weakness...
 
I'm a Steelers fan living in California, so usually I can't even DVR the games because they aren't broadcast in my market. If I can't get the game on the ADF, I'll ask for the score.
 
My company just updated all the ACARS so we have a request that will just datalink the scores. Sorry, no wifi on our jets yet....
 
Yeah, down there at FL115 WITH A RADAR. You nancy. I'm a huge fan of chattering with the controllers. Perhaps it's because in my uh "formative years" that was the only way to keep from blundering in to a line of Level 5s. I mean, honestly, are we Europeans? Should everyone have their phraseology book out at all times? Don't want to hear the scores? Turn down the #1, turn #2 up to "11", and put it on the ATIS. ;)

Yeah, but you have to pay for it. And we all know how cheap passengers are. They'll pay $25/day to park at the airport, but $4.95 for WiFi? "You're trying to gouge me!"

We used to have SiriusXM in all of our planes with ESPN radio, so it wasn't an issue. But then the purple overlords came along and ripped all of them out. Never gotten a good answer for why they did that.
