Steve O1?

The guys discussed so far are ok for the most part. But, not naming names, there is a guy flying a light twin on the west coast who makes me cringe at least once in every video.
"I'm gonna fly over downtown Oakland at 500 feet and then buzz boats in the bay and film it for YouTube, it'll be great!"

That's odd I haven't even looked at any of his videos and now they're popping up as"recommended" on YouTube.
Facebook/social media is getting creepy. It's happened more than once I work a trip and while I'm browsing facebook after one of the crew pops up in the "people you may know" section, despite having zero mutual friends. I'm convinced the GPS in the app looks at who you're around for a significant amount of time.

Not to mention having a conversation about a product and then suddenly getting ads for that product next time you sign on.

I absolutely love the part around 5:45 - "Toes on the brakes, gear up", hehe...

He does stuff like that. Not my personal cup of tea but to give him credit, also flies a Mooney, so it's really about operational consistency, like learning a GUMP check in a 152.

Oh it's way creepier than that. Ever wonder why Facebook needs access to your microphone?

Radom video I watched, his landing is way off centerline. No surprise.

Biggest pet peeve of mine for YouTube stars. I guess centerlines are for professionals only...

Another quipe: he's still 20* bank turning to final doing his landing checks and says "lined up with the centerline, gear down, airspeed ..." dude was still turning to final.

Another YouTube star...

I don't think he does anything intentionally reckless. Other than the one where he does this strange landing runway switch at low altitude, it's more procedural stuff like the lack of prep for the departure from KFUL I mentioned (you have to look at the chart yourself to realize what's going on) . I actually went back to that one today and left a comment asking whether is self-debriefing had him realize he was doing the departure he thought they took him off from. We'll see.

Anyway, here it is. He had a nav radio failure later in the video (so he navigates by handheld), but the SID stuff in in the first few minutes.

Damn! Don't be looking for my videos! I couldn't handle it! :D

Thank goodness they are not that many and not that interesting :)

I think he does that stuff not realizing it's illegal... In the video in question it was as if he thinks "over water" is a lawless wasteland.

That's a giveaway that the person is FB stalking you.

I said I wasn't naming names :D.

There's one where he gets the ANAHEIM SID out of KFUL. Had filed direct and never looked at the applicable Departures (there's only one, to get you around the LA Bravo on the way north ). Apparently briefs it, indicates he coordinates it with the en route chart. When ATC vdctirs him to join an airway, he says, well, there goes the SID, pretty much tosses it aside, and asks what radials the airway is on. The airway is the first expected leg of the SID.

Well to be fair every day we have people depart on the EWR2, give them a vector, then tell proceed dir sbj and resume the sid. "Uhhhh we're not filed for sbj". "Yes you are sir, page 2 of the sid"
