Who's wants to go with me during NJC? I have a feeling it will be the weekend of the 21st. Doug's been working on vacation move ups which is why it's taking so long (yes, this year, he did not get vacation time :( )

Meh! Too easy to do a half-pour for a well drink. Beer is largely the best way to ensure you're getting what you're actually ordering.

Is there actually a weekend that's been determined yet? I know a couple were being tossed around but i have seen no confirmation....

Well my vacation is 10/7-10/20. If it's to be the weekend of the 21st, we'll bow out. My wife can only be off for one of those weeks because she also teaches and we need to plan our adventure. Sorry to miss this, yet again.

My vacation is 14-20 Oct and there is no chance to move it to the next week. Unless I can creatively get days off or get a good slide I may not make the 21st either.

That doesn't really work when you're jumpseating or non-revving Tracy...

DO NOT jumpseat or non-rev when you've called in sick.

Especially in the era of CASS.

That's about as idiotic as logging onto your companies intranet while you're on duty on a flying segment. Permanent records, passive monitoring.

Ha! Did that a long time ago but they needed pilots so bad they didn't pursue it.

I've done it accidentally a few times where I forgot I picked up a shift and traveled. They never even noticed, I just got in trouble for the attendance issue. Guess it all depends. Maybe its stricter for pilots.

I'd imagine they keep track of crews better considering ground agents calling in sick/no showing/disappearing is a pretty everyday thing.
