Overnap?
Twice! We had a long sit in ORD when I was a flight engineer on the 727, and the captain and I walked over to the UAL terminal to find some grub and the FO went down to the flight attendant lounge for a nap.
A few hours we come back to the jet, start doing the preflight stuff and wait for the FO so we can begin the checklist. About 30 more minutes go by and now we're about 5 minutes prior to pushback and there's no FO.
So I jump out of the cockpit and start scouring the terminal for our FO. I finally find him in the flight attendant lounge snoring like a whooping crane.
"Bill, Bill! Hey man, we're ready for pushback!!"
"ZzzArooo? Huh?"
"Yeah man, let's go!"
"Holy crap!"
Since the FO doens't really do anything on the 727 beyond handling the radio and reading the "Before Start Checklist" coupled with me handling the time sheet, we actually pushed back on time errr "On Time".
