Hello, I'm looking for some flying in the St. Louis, MO area. I currently hold:

Commercial Single/Multi Engine Land
CFI, CFII, MEI

1015 TT
678 Dual given
101.4 Multi Engine
110 hours Instrument

Thanks all.

When you hit 1200, Flight Express always seems to be hiring for CPS.

Other possibilities:

TSA (bad idea)
GoJets (worse idea)
Parks College (CFI)
Central Air Southwest (need 135 mins, like Flight Express)

There's also a pax 135 charter place out at spirit (SUS), the name eludes me for the moment. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Start in a Baron, copilot on a kingair. You can always try just knocking on doors at spirit as well...sometimes corporate jobs go to the right time right place guy, but with your times I think it's kind of a longshot if you don't know anyone.

PS. Just remembered, Sanbourne (aerial mapping company) was looking for someone a few weeks back, but if memory serves they wanted navajo time...have any of that? Also, on the CFI side, St. Charles Flying service seems to (or seemed to in the past, anyway) need CFIs with possible 135 work when you hit the mins.

Aero Charter at SUS is the Baron gig, they also have King Airs, Hawkers, and Sabreliners. You would have to meet 135 times to have a chance there because they will want you to be PIC in a Baron and SIC in something else. --- www.aerocharter.com

Jet Corp/Jet Direct/ now Sentient Flight Group - They have a base at SUS, but are not headquartered there and I have no idea what their times are now.

Corporate Flight Management is also based at SUS with Beechjets and Hawkers. They hire in lower time guys, but I believe they want over 1000 PIC (even if it is just in a C152). --- www.corporateaircraftstl.com

Sanbourne did have a job posted somewhere just the other day, but I can't find it now. If you think about them, just plan on being gone a lot (as with most mapping jobs).

How bad do you have to stay within the STL area? That to be honest is your only limitation. I know that Angel Flight is over at Spirit but I think they want some Turbine time. I know that Executive Beechcraft is hiring but I think they want 135 mins plus 500 multi. At least that is what I heard. Good luck. I would love to hear if you find anything, to be honest looking for quite some time and haven't found anything promising right now.

I am still actively looking.

I applied and Sanborne but get the feeling I don't have enough flight times for their liking from my communications with them.

Other than that I've ramped up my flying with students to try to reach 135 mins. We'll see how it all goes. I would really love to be in St. Louis.

Just wanna bump this to see if anything new has opened up. Sorta need to get over there ASAP.

Gojet is getting a few CRJs this fall and more next year. They are planning on having classes once a month for the rest of the year. However, right now it's very competitive they are planning on fast upgrades so they need high time guys and are getting plenty of airline guys on the streets. Not sure if you can get in but it's worth applying. Everybody loves it there, nice and small airline, for now.

Did you forget the :sarcasm: tag????

Beware Romans bearing gifts and GoJets pilots being "helpful" to their "fellow pilots". They'll be glad to help you right out of a job if there's a sheckl in it for them.

I'm going to apply to CAMI sometime this week. And then Aero Charter and Central Air Southwest when I get 100 more hours.

Is there any pipeline or just anyone looking for a pilot in general? I don't know. Where else to look.

Parks College was still hiring. I worked there before my current gig and with the RAH f-bomb that is less than a month off might end up back there again. If you are CFI-ing already. You may build time faster doing that. Some months were feast or famine. Also, be sure to have a lot of ground knowledge. You will brief more than you have ever wanted to. Here's to the race for 1200 hours.
