Sporty\'s Catalog

Okay I just got my 3rd copy of Sporty's newest catalog. I got one with my last order, I got the one that gets sent to me every few months, and today I got onw in an envelope with a bunch of other sporty's junk, that say's "here's the catalog you requested", (which I don't remember requesting)

They really want to make sure we all see it don't they.

One day late last summer, it was a slow day in the office (one of many), and I was just about to go home for the evening. Well, in walks this guy with a smoking hot female companion. Turns out they were from Sportys, and had flown in in the sweepstakes Cessna. He blabbered about a few things...something about free cookout on the weekends, and some other stuff...but I was distracted. Anyways, getting back to why I started this post...the Sporty's store would make a nice cross country from where I fly out of. If I ever make it over there with a student, I'll pick up one of those hats and wear it to Vegas (not).

ive already recieved 6 posters from them of a 182... never ordered one of them.... guess they have lots of extra capital....

Thanks for the link, but I would rather just win their sweepstakes. You think theres a way to enter yourself thousands of times instead of purchasing a ton of stuff from them

why are there sporty's catalogues in the FBO. We have about 50 in a pile in ours. The problem is, we're a pilot store too.

Isn't that similar to Jetblue advertising Southwest on their flights?

same thing..here in our apartment between me and my roomate we average a new sporty's catalogue just about every week hahaha. I already have the cessna poster hanging in my room, so i give the extra's to my friends .

Sporty's is WAY too overpriced. Probably need to justify the lavish catalog.

I fully agree. I was being sarcastic towards their nitwitted marketing schemes for some of the overpriced junk they sell.

Can you name any of the dumb trinkets they sell? There was one in particular that I'm trying to remember.........

If you want a bunch of stuff that you'd love to have but can't afford, get their Wright Brothers catalog. If you want pilot supplies, go to Marv Golden or someplace like that. The prices are MUCH better.

... and Marv Golden's staff have the sporty's catalog too - you can order by the sporty's page number!

Agree with JT - Marv Golden is where it's at. MUCH MUCH cheaper than Sporty's.

I've bought a couple gifts from Sporty's Wright Brothers catalog. It was nice stuff, but a little overpriced.
