Spirit and Gojet...........

There was an AWAC guy that left for Spirit, got fired in training and came back to AWAC. I don't know your guys story but that's pretty odd. He must be in it for the bonuses, maybe ex mil?

You're in my brotherhood day one, but if you're fired before you hit the line, I doubt you can ever really call yourself a "Spirit" pilot.

PS. Did some searching, it appears both classes in session are full.

Don't shoot the messenger guys

Saw it brought up in the ZW section of the other forum. I'd imagine the locals would know if he was ZW before failing the training at Spirit

Now that AWAC has that Career Path Program to UA he may have gone to ZW hoping it would be a quick path to United. Not saying that's what happened or that I would recommend such a strategy but I recently flew with a captain who left Sun Country for CommutAir, partly for that reason.

Personally I doubt Spirit will ever have any difficulty filling classes.

The inference is guys are bailing from Spirit to go to a commuter. Nothing could be further from the truth as the guys that have done so were told to leave, it wasn't a voluntary decision. Not really the same thing.

I never meant to imply that it was common to leave Spirit for a commuter, just giving a possible explanation why that person might have, assuming their departure from Spirit was voluntary. Honestly the idea of voluntarily leaving a major/LCC for a commuter seems odd to me as well but if anyone does it I'm sure they have their reasons and it seems odd to care how they live their life.

And yes I doubt people are willingly leaving Spirit for commuters but I'm not sure why so many are sensitive about the idea.

Spirit MEC put out a letter. Basically stated, they were blindsided by any agreement, and Spirit is a great transition place because: A pilot hired today won't see an upgrade until someone senior retires or leaves.
Go to any other legacy, and second year you'll already make more than a topped out NK FO.

With all that, if you still want to come, we'll welcome you.

- End quote I guess.
