Spirit Airlines (question)

I keep hearing very conflicting information about the company. I usually hear that the pilot group is generally content, but everything else is described wildly differently.
Does anybody have any -credible- information on the company. Also, wondering about the Vegas (LAS) base. Is it growing, shrinking, stagnant? Speak to me!

I think as with any company you can get widely varying opinions. I know some guys there who really like it, others who are looking for a way out.

What exactly do you mean by "credible" information? Regarding?

By credible I simply mean solid info as opposed to rumors. For example, if you know a pilot there.

The guy I fly gliders with who has been there ten years enjoys it. He encourages me to apply so he either actually likes it or wishes me ill will lol

Thanks guys. Repeating the original post, anybody know about the LAS base?
I heard a rumor it may close some day. That is where I'd like to be based, so I'm trying to find out if there is any credibility to that.

Huh? Bases open and close. But the origin of this wild rumor is a mystery as those at NK have not heard it--at least in our circles. So explain more please.....

Just a friend said that to me a couple weeks after jumping on a spirit plane into ORD. He could not remember the details, but that was brought up as a possible eventuality with changing markets. It sounded vague to me, so that is why I asked.

LAS hasn't been open that long, but as mentioned already, bases come and go and Spirit will go where there is demand and what makes financially sense, hence the reason they are so profitable.
