Spinning a G1000?

I've done a spin entry and MAYBE one turn in a G1000 172. It can tumble the AHRS, but unlike the Avidyne, the G1000 will self-right in the air so long as you hold the wings reasonably level. I wouldn't worry about it.
Not true, in a mid air re-start the GMU will align the AHRS in flight with up to 20 degrees of bank. The G1000 is that awesome.

The Avidyne will align in the air, as long as you've got some time on your hands. And some really smooth air.

Correct, the Avidyne will align in the air. I have done it a couple times when it was not communicating with the autopilot. Pulled the breakers and let it re-align and problem was solved both times.
