Um, how would you conduct spin training then? Spin certified airplanes tend to recover from spins easily enough, so how are you going to make pilots "work for it"?

Edit: I just saw the quadrouple-post you made, about flat spins. I'm not even sure how you would put a 172 into a flat spin which makes it a bit hard to do in a training environment.

The DA-20 Katana is approved for spins, and they spin like a beast. You have to actually work to put it into a spin, and work to get it out. If you want it to be flat, keep the power in.

I am thankful I went to a school that made us do spin training to get our PPL. Learned a ton of the lesson and it was one of my favorites also. I did the spin in the Decathlon, and like TwoTwoLeft 's video, the nose was pointed almost straight down. How did the pilot in the first video get his spin to be "flat"? It doesn't seem like that was his intention.

Spins are so scary.... But seriously, I do spins a few times each week. It's nothing crazy if you have an understanding of spins. Get proper training before spinning! Not all planes spin equally, variations in W&B can make a difference in recovery times.

After training you'll be comfortable enough during spins to do stuff like this:

64 turn inverted spin-

I am trying to find some flat spins in the D and Citabria I have done. The best way to get the nose the highest is to do full power, left turn spins, especially if you add some opposite aileron in there. The plane in the video might spin flatter than other airplanes due to the CG.

From a undisclosed location with unknown pilots in a semi-anonymous aircraft ....:D

For educational purposes, notice the spin attitude vs the one in the previous video.

Hey, I can kinda see, um...where someone I know lives, from here. :D
