Speed racing ticket

It took a few speeding tickets in my slightly younger dumber years to finally introduce me to cruise control when traveling down the freeway. Luckily no points were ever taken on my licence so its never been an issue in any of the interviews/backround checks I've had since then.

Some get caught, some don't.
 
Did you at least win the race? Like it or not, life is a game. Lawyers can help, but covered tracks are still discoverable.

If your entire 'life' is riding on one specific 'dream job', you have issues that pervade external circumstances.

Hell, you don't even have to take responsibility if you don't want to but if you don't, believe me, you're going to be stuck at best third tier carriers because the more competitive airlines are going to bat you around like a kitty with a yarn ball if you try to blame it all on "The System" or "The Man" or "I just got caught at what people do all the time".

In my last interview I was asked about either my speeding ticket or 141 stage check bust early on in my training. They simply asked about it, not any details. I told them all about it and told them why I screwed it up, what I learned, and how my behavior has changed.

"Wow...that was really forthcoming of you. You didn't have to tell us any of that, but you did. That says a lot about you."

If you are trying to do the right thing most of the time and are honest about the times you don't get it quite right, life gets a lot easier because you can be open and honest about it.
 
Sounds like you need to stop worrying and let your attorney handle things. Most, if not everyone on this board, has broken the law at some point in time with regard to speeding, rolling a stop sign, etc... Maybe you were caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, or maybe the local cops decided to crack down on a certain traffic offense and make an example out of a select few, or maybe neither. I don't know and don't really want to know. Your attorney will be able to sort through this, depending on the circumstances, and hopefully guide you to a more favorable outcome.

When it comes time to apply to the regionals, just list it and be ready to explain why you had such a lapse in judgement, even if it wasn't your completely your fault for whatever reason. Unless you have a long list of past traffic citations, I can tell you that the regionals most likely won't even bat an eye at this right now with their level of hiring desperation. Pilots with fairly recent DUIs and reckless driving citations are getting hired so I don't see a problem there.

Later on down the road if you aspire to go to the majors, I would hire an attorney who is intimately familiar with aviation and employment law and can help you with that. It needs to be YOUR lawyer, not someone else's, who is familiar with YOUR situation.
