Why can't people just simply behave like adults?

A reportedly drunk passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight was kicked off before running back onto the plane.

The passenger was then tackled by crew members and secured to a seat with zip ties.

According to CBS Chicago, Southwest Airlines Flight 3630 was preparing to depart from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas Monday night when a male passenger locked himself inside a bathroom and refused to leave. The passenger was identified as 28-year-old Stephan Kennedy.

Once Kennedy left the restroom, he was kicked off the plane.

So he left the plane and then they tied him to the chair??? That's pretty damn talented,or fantastic journalism.

I have a friend whose daughter had a mechanical, delaying the flight for a few hours, a unruly pax who wound up handcuffed, and a pax one row in head of her who died. Quite a travel memory for her.

Reading the article, it says he was removed from the plane and then fought his way back onboard. It was at that point he was physically restrained.

This happens all the time here in Vegas. At least once a month. Usually, these turds dont make it past the SW gate agents.

As crazy as some F/A's may be, I kind of wish they could have tasers. These folks are getting out of hand, and the summer traveling season is just beginning. Gate agents also need to stop trying to push trouble pax onto the crew also. There's been several occasions where agents come down before boarding and tell us "just a heads up, I think seat _ has had a little to drink". WTH are you trying to send this pax down if he/she is intoxicated.

How does one manage to get back on a plane once kicked off? Are they not kicked off into the hands of airport PD? Or are they just sent back up the jetway and released into the gen pop of the terminal?

It used be the former, now it seems to be more and more the latter because of recent events. It's going to end up creating a major security/safety issue if it hasn't already...

Flight Attendants and ACS personnel just don't have the training or resources in most cases to deal with an active, physical threat on the ground. That's why airport police exist.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for an employee to get seriously hurt.
