Southwest lands at wrong airport?

I must say, it is nice to not see the NTSB tweeting snippets of information about this SWA event every couple of hours as they learn new things.

I'm no ALPA cheerleader overall, however it very well may be that the communications from ALPA and several other organizations had with the safety board have had an effect on the way the NTSB handles releasing information in the age of social media. That is a good thing.

Tell that to the Dixie Chicks.

Did they get some "bad" publicity? If so, they didn't get enough that I heard about it. It would have to be a lot though... I don't really do pop culture.
Anyway, what apparently obvious event did I miss?

No, apparently it was because—omg—they had a company dispatcher in the jumpseat, says the media. THIRD PERSON IN THE COCKPIT?, gasps the news outlet in outrage.

And yeah, hockey by the way. Watch hockey. Now that everything's HD, it's the best team sport on television. ^.~ I'm not even biased! .. much ..

Hockey is the best sport period.

Was that the lead in question of whether or not he's a twink? :)

Hahaha... no. Wanting to find out basically his age and where he is at in his training. Is he Junior high, high school student pilot, Private pilot. Because he can come off as being/sounding like well... an aviation novice. To put it lightly.

For all the guys who couldn't make it on the Football team.....

Football is to Hockey what Glass Panels are to Steam Gauges.
Any steam gauge pilot can fly glass; any glass pilot can not fly steam gauges
Would be interesting though to see all the collapses and heart attacks if football players tried to play a game of hockey. A game in which the players are actually skating - hard - for most of the hour game period. An hour of football usually boils down to about 5-15 minutes of actually doing anything.

Lol how many football players get 30 stitches, lose 8 teeth, or a break a bone and finish a game?

I often play better after getting hurt. ^.^ Last night I forgot a shinpad, so I taped a bunch of towels around my leg under my sock (Yeah, yeah). Third shift, I took a clearing shot off the same. stupid. leg. >.<; I had two assists on the shift after.

I absolutely love the game. Even when I have three college games in a row to ref, an adult game, and then three 18AAA tournament games to ref the next morning... and I'm so tired that I can barely stay awake in the ref's room... as soon as I hit the ice, it's game on. ^.^

Lets just leave hockey vs football alone, its like a sucker's bet. My most vivid memory from playing hockey (on the bench as the goalie for this game) in college was a forward begging me to discretely yank his dislocated shoulder back in place. It took three of us. After he got Xrays two games later, turns out his clavicle was fractured in several places. We basically set his bones seconds before he went back out on his shift. I have recurring joint problems from hockey. I'd do it all again in a second though.

Don't forget that running up the score against Asiana is politically easy; running up the score against Southwest would be political suicide.

Washington (CNN) -- A company dispatcher who was seated in the cockpit jump seat as Southwest Airlines Flight 4013 landed at the wrong Missouri airport has been placed on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation, the company told CNN on Tuesday.

Another person on paid leave.....
