Southwest Boarding Procedures

This is why I don't fly Southwest. I'm sorry, but even though they're changing things, it still ain't gonna work for me.

I want to know I've got seat 6C regardless of whether I show up at the gate two hours early or 15 minutes before the flight leaves.

There really isn't much of a price difference and I'm more than willing to pay it in order to know I'm going to be in my seat and all the people who show up two hours early ain't getting it!

I fully agree. Unless my ticket cost me 1 dollar on some promotion (in which I'm okay with the fact I'm treated like a bunch of cattle) I will avoid an airline without assigned seats as much as possible. It makes me feel like being in line with a bunch of kids trying to rush into a ride at disney land. With assigned seats families can sit together, people have a choice, and there is no mad rush and pushing and shoving to get on board.

Its funny that you mention that. If you sit back and actually watch people board a SW flight, they really do push and shove. Its hilarious.
It reminds me of when my brother and I would fight over who gets to sit in the front seat of the car. My dad used to always tell us, "What does it matter where you sit, the car is going to end up at the same destination regardless!"

But the one thing that I hate the most is when you're waiting at the gate....and the plane isnt even there, people that put there bags and stuff in line to hold their place and go sit somewhere else and dont even stand in line! :banghead: This forces you to stand in line becuase you dont want to miss out on a good seat.

:yeahthat:

I couldn't agree more...drummerboy is also correct. Everyone is always in a mad rush and makes it stressful for everyone else. Assigned seating is the best in my opinion. You don't have to worry about getting in line and standing there LONG before the plane gets there.

This is my impression of the Southwest Boarding process

Only when you live in an ugly city. Every flight out of PHX has at least 1 legitimately hot girl on it. Usually 2 or 3. And, as you've seen, I'm extremely exclusive.

Yeah, cause the flights I've been on out of SAN, LAX, DEN, LAS, and YVR are from cities with no attractive women. Ain't a single one in those cities.

SWA doesn't serve YVR. So it doesn't matter if there are any hotties since you'll have assigned seating.

You must not be paying much attention because I've never been on a flight with at least one attractive female onboard.

That's what I get for chatting on AIM while posting. I've never been on a flight withOUT at least one attractive female.

My bird.

I quite honestly could care less if there's an attractive woman on the flight I'm on or not. The question I ask myself is what are the odds of me getting to hook up with her in the lav.

And the answer is slim to none.

So I don't care.

I've always been the one who is calm about the eye candy. My friends will get whiplash snapping their heads around to look at a pretty woman while I'll be like, yes, I saw her, yes, she's pretty, now are you going to do something about it?

LOL. Priceless.
