LOL!

So it would be unwise for Pepsi to mess with ATL?

It would make the Civil War look like a fun afternoon at the paintball park. :D

Switching to Pepsi is a strike-able event for me. I will deny anyone a jumpseat that prefers Pepsi to Coke. Sodascabs. :sarcasm:

So a pepsi guy huh?

So what'd you drink when the lady asks you if yourself or the boss man wanted something to drink? You take water?

330s are pretty large airplanes.. and if you can't fill em, you can't make money on 'em.

The -9's, old as they are, have likely paid for themselves several times over.

As for the 74's in the desert, that just makes me sad. Brand new, and straight to the pasture? That just ain't right.

The megapoodles that are in the desert are now going through heavycheck and moseying their way back to the line.

I'm hoping we pick up some of the UA 744's that were so very prematurely parked.

Phillippines?!

I hate to interrupt the great Pepsi vs. Coke debate of 2010. Don't get me wrong you guys were really breaking new ground there, so let me make sure I understand you, some of you prefer Pepsi, others, Coke. Did I miss anything? :D ;)

As to the other subject of this thread, Southernjetz rumots, check this out:

The latest gimmick is that new "old school" Pepsi they're marketing for a short time.....the one in the old school" looking can that's made with real cane sugar.

We were looking for the word "Throwback".

And I quite like it!

If Delta orders more 74's, are those going to be fenced off? (My understand was that the current ones were fenced for 5 years? Feel free to correct me!)

Or would a new order mean that both D-n and D-S can bid the plane?

Hi Lucas,

Difficult question.

747s, 787s, 777s and direct replacements are fenced for 5 years from SOC (Jan 2010). Doesn't matter how many they get, and current fleetcounts don't matter.

Ex 1: Delta buys 10 747-400s over and above existing orders. fNWA guys fly them exclusively until 2015.

Ex 2: Delta takes delivery of 10 777s they had on order, without replacing any other aircraft. fDAL guys fly them exclusively until 2015.

Ex 3: Delta buys 777-F all cargo variants. fNWA guys would PROBABLY fly them exclusively because they are a direct replacement for the parked 747-200Fs

Ex 4: Delta takes 747-400s in trade for 777 orders OR 777s in trade for 787 orders. In that case, warm up your checkbooks, because thats when arbitration starts.
