Southernjets 787

I wish they had a replacement for the 737s I am always on. The A220 was great until it seems like I always catch a delay due to an engine issue.

A350 still bigger, isn’t it?

I see they went for GEnx engines, which makes me think RR was not interested in a more generous MSA to expand on the Trent 1000s already on the 350.

I don’t know. The widebodies are bizarre configurations sometimes because of range and weight. Like they had some jets configured for 335 in one configuration that are rolling around now in a 275-pax configuration with more D1 seats.

At the moment, we’re best in class with the back of the jet breaking even but the premium cabins (D1 and Premium Economy) at a 35%-plus profit margin so more premium seats is more money.

Rare to hear that. I think I’ve had 2 engine delays in past 1.5 years on it. Definitely does have some overall gremlins - more automation more problems

Naturally I’m a 350 weenie and more widebodies are good, but I don’t get the people thirsty for the 787. Looks like a E-175 and a 767-400 made a disco baby and the cockpit looks like a 737 max.

And I wouldn’t want to spend hours on end with a yoke in my crotch.

I like to cross my legs and stare at my Doc Martin 1461’s, contemplatively, when the “…and then my third ex-wives was from The Phillipines, but then she took up pickleball and started getting mouthy and ended up leaving me…” starts.
I carry a sketchbook and an assortment of pencils. I wish we were allowed to listen to Bluetooth… I’d much rather listen to replays of my favorite irreverent paleontology podcast than some of these dudes, and this is the “chill base”.

That’s why I love teaching. It’s a lot of work but there are so many subjects to discuss that I rarely have to endure “Cockpit

[Somewhere over Fairbanks]

“If we lost an engine RIGHT NOW and maintenance says to continue to Seattle, where there’s a maintenance base, paint me the picture of how you would respond to that request, the information you would use to make that decision and what time you’d arrive there, if you decided to go. Lets use the OLB, the WHAT-IF function of the SEC on the MFD”

Well, if you ask me a direct question, I’m going to give you an honest answer. I mean if you asked me with a uniform on at the airport and I’m on the clock, you would have received that answer because it’s professional.

I was re-quoting "Armageddon"...well more of a reimagining, regardless the sarcasm is hard in text form
