Just listened to the LiveATC. They were passed off from tower but ended up making a mayday call (that was stepped on) on the tower frequency. Next call was stepped on too, but they reported back that they were on the ground, much to the tower controller's shock. More specifically they reported their position as "across from the Wendy's and Aldi's"

No NTSB investigator, but if I’m remembering my PT6 geometry correctly it looks like it hit something with at least some power on it.
