Sounds a little "grim" for Comair

Very sad news to hear. This week would have been my 6yr anniversary with them (i left almost 2yrs ago)

Anyone heard who will take up the 70-76 seat lift?

Seeing as all the DCI carriers sent out the same memo (almost to the letter) about not being able to compete with GoJets.....that would be my guess. I'll just be in the corner complaining about how the lowest bidder is destroying the industry.....

Man this stinks, newsbot article said their costs were deemed too high to continue? Wasn't there an article also saying Delta had posted impressive earnings?

Uhm, this is probably part of Delta continuing to have impressive earnings.

Best of luck guys. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few OH guys, nothing but respect for you.

As soon as I posted it I knew I was about to get bombarded. It was honestly just one of those curiosity things. Not at all was I thinking "Oh great! Finally, more jets for me to fly!" Pinnacle definitely isn't in a position to be taking any more aircraft. I just found it odd that no press releases had any mention of what would happen to the remainder of the aircraft since all the releases were very clear in saying that there would be no disruption to service for Delta.

I definitely feel bad for the pilots and I knew a handful that just recently jumped ship. I'm glad they got out while they could and I hope all the rest are able to find good work somewhere other than the bottom of another regional seniority list.

It was a good place to work for a while till it began it's slow death spiral which will culminate in ceasing operations on September 29th. Great employees and pilots and it was a pleasure working with all of them...well most of them anyways. Good luck to those who are still there and will be till the end!

Alright, guess I'll go hang out with Trip7 until I can redeem myself.

Nah, don't worry. I think it just sounded worse than you intended.

I'll bet you that means the passengers can be reaccomodated fairly easily. Delta and Comair knew this day was coming for far longer than they're willing to admit do contingencies have already been made for the passengers.

HoJets has been in JFK a lot of late. Combined with the memo that we are all too expensive in comparison I would say that's the answer of who is picking up the flying...
