Sounds like a blast. Wouldnt worry about the landing. You're an absolute flying god if you're able to land the 700 smooth every time. Especially when landing light.
Thanks, :rawk:

Haha right. On IOE I landed the 700 so soft we didn't know we were on the ground until spoilers message came up on EICAS. Check airman said it will be a while before I do that again. Been almost a year and still haven't duplicated that landing. Came close but never that good. It was beginner's luck:laff:
In the 145 you know you rolled it on if the Air/Ground Fail message pops up. So smooth you confused the computer. And greasing one on empty or really light is next to impossible.
Only because you're use to flying it with SOMETHING in the back.
The -200 can be like that as well though. Hell, any large plane can be like that. Muscle memory goes away when you're not flying a plane empty versus filled up.
But, if you're junior enough, you're afforded the opportunity to do as many reposition flights as you can handle, thus increasing your skills as an empty CRJ-200 first officer.

Josh I've flown with many 15 year plus captains who float the 200 empty... Whole different world...![]()
Guess the joke is on me.
Or you're just an amazingly skilled pilot whom is beyound his years! You know I have to mess with ya bro!
On my first night landing into PHF on IOE in the 200 I flared way too late and still barely heard a thump in the back.
Oh Marcus, I wasn't aware we conducted IOE on empty-legs. How much time do you have flying CRJ-200's empty again?
Here, I'll even start. I pranged one in at MDT today. It wasn't empty. I just f'ed up. I must suck at life and flying.
Just blame that one on the radioactive coating on the plane from flying through the steam coming off Three Mile Island. Sucker is slippery when nuked.
I'm still waiting to hear of a story where Marcus actually messed something up. So far, everything's been "I had this awesome landing" or "The check airman said I was the best student EVA!"

That's what she said.
First time pulling into MDT, my Captain (about 55 years old, great guy) says, "Wow these ramp girls are hot. Too bad they're all radioactive and stuff." I said it might be the radiation making super-genes.
I've noticed that as well. I'd be interested to hear of a time Marcus didnt fly perfectly. Maybe on his discovery flight.
OH SHOOT! LMAO! I love the Office quote first and foremost.... I might need to head over to MDT at some point. If these girls are truely that hot!
