just so you know, that was an A-6E Intruder and not the EA-6b Prowler. The Prowler has a pair of canopy’s to cover the four air crewmen(pilot, navigator, and two electronic officers) compared to the Intruder single “bubble” canopy. And if it is the same one(though I don’t know how often this happens), it happened on Nov.29,1977
 
I would like to see if the flight deck vid of a crash we had on the Enterprise is around. Is there a site that has a lot of these crash videos?

yeah I saw the whole tape somewhere too, and it showed him stumbling around afterwards, and I think it said he had permanent hearing damage also.
