Some long overdue Red Bull

Well, I just wanted to wake up the crowd here. It looks like everyone has forgot about the Flying Salukis. I attended SIU for 2 yrs and finished my Bachelor's Degree with them. I was a part time cfi with them for 5 semesters. It is really a great place to work, especially being a cfi part time while attending school. Of course the pay sucks, but most of the time you will find your students in your classes if you are doing the aviation management degree. Most of the prof's under the AVM degree are great, Kaps and Ruiz are the best. There is a lot of connections and bridging for internships available through them. Mike Peters, (founder of aviationinterviews.com) is an alumni and has a few scholarships set up. Along with many people at Chicago Express (who have taken SIU pilots w/only 250hrs TT!), the American Eagle, also a few other internships that will not necesarily lead directly into flying careers. It is a great city to attend college in and although the fleet is a bit older (except for the 7 new 172's) you can't beat flying the 310s or the 340, 421 charter planes. I graduated in May of 04 after an internship, although I haven't been residing on campus since December 04. If anyone has any questions feel free to post or send me a pm.
