I'm just glad I wasn't living out in Portland when I got furloughed...found out that Oregon has the 2nd high unemployement, right behind Michigan.
I do miss summer's out there...you can't beat mid-80's and no humidity! :rawk:

Awesome pics! I've been to Vancouver B.C., the Pacific NW is probably my favorite weather.

Sorry to see you get the F-bomb. I was almost in your shoes myself as I had an interview lined up with Horizon back in December 2007 (right before getting mobilized to go spend an all expenses paid trip to Sunny Afghanistan) and that would have put me in that furlough bucket. What are your plans now?

What days did Horizon offer you to interview, I ask because I interviewed on the 17th or 18th of December, so there's a chance we would have been in the same group.
Out of my "day", there were 5 of us...2 got hired...and one from the previous day. Back in those days Horizon was still picky about who they hired, part of the reason I pursuied them for a job.
Even though I'm furloughed, my time at Horizon for the most part was fun. The people were great to work with...even CirrusDriver (sorry, gotta pick on the Crew Schedulers)...and it got me into a good position today.
Right now I'm awaiting (hopefully) a call from the state of TN for a pilot's job there.
(CRJDriver, if you're reading this, I owe you a beer at some point...thanks for the postings in the Jobs Board!) :clap:

I had an tentitive interview sometime in November for a December 12th class. I can't remember for sure what day as it was never scheduled as I got my orders to Afghanistan right at the same time.
