Just wanted to let ya'll know that I soloed my first student today. Everything went great......except when tower told him to get off @ A5 he kind of exited the runway "hot" lol :banghead: But all in all he did a great job! ....WHEW!:rawk: 1 down.....

Congratulations! Next time you'll be sitting there thinking about what you're doing that weekend going how many landings was that?

Congrats. The first one is fun.

The rest you realize you finally have a break to eat your lunch.

Congrats! I think the first solo is the most stressful thing for a lot of CFIs. I know I was a nervous wreck.

Gratz again!

I was never really nervous when any of my students soloed. I guess I was just callous to the fact that I was confident in them. At any rate, that is a good step, altough I think I was more worried about ones first solo cross country.
Congratulations!

I was alittle nervous...but after his first touch and go all my worries went away. The next big step is the solo xc :panic: I'm loving instructing!

Tower told my student to expedite off the runway once, and she drove off the runway trying to make the next taxiway!! :panic:

She, and the airplane were fine.

From then on I told all the student pilots to key "unable" and let the airplane come to a rolling stop with light brakes.

Congrats man!! I have soloed dozens of pilots and it doesn't get much easier! :D

How many hours did they have?

Jesus if that doesn't sound familiar.
