So who is getting hit with lasers?

I got hit a few weeks ago over south Denver. We were searching for an ELT, got hit by a green laser, and told approach about it. We circled the area thinking that the cops would show up soon, all the while getting blasted every time we came around this dude's side of the apartment complex. Anyway, the cops never showed, we gave approach the lat/long, and left the area to continue to pursue the ELT.

Called tracon the next day, and they said that they don't call the cops, so don't waste your time over the area. It's more of a headache for them, since they have to call a bunch of folks and do paperwork. I called the FBI dude (one of the calls ATC has to make). He took some info, but admitted that they don't have the resources to track these goof balls down.

Really kinda disappointing result given that even in the dark, we could have directed an officer to the exact location while they were still hitting us. Oh well...

We've had a few get caught in my area. Mainly because the police helo's are always in the area and are all over it as soon as they hear about it happening. I think 3 have been arrested in the last 6 months or so. We file the appropriate paperwork for all reports, but it is extremely tedious.

Ive been hit twice at OAK, on final. Came right outta the ghetto! lol. After reporting this to the tower, they gave a number to call when I land. It was airport ops and the sent their guy over as well as 3 county sheriffs to interview me. Took forever, and was kinda pointless. Its not like they have any chance to find the laser shooter.

Ive also been hit once near EMT.

If I had the lat longs, I would be tempted to show up myself.
