looks like THIS guy found a way to stay warm:

CNN) -- A preliminary test shows a pilot arrested after a wild ride in a plane around Philadelphia had a blood-alcohol level over Pennsylvania's legal limit, a prosecutor said Friday.

John Vincent Salamone, 44, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, had a blood-alcohol level of .13. A more accurate blood test should be done by next week, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor said. The .13 measure is above the legal limit of .08, he said.

If the blood exam confirms the breath test, Salamone will be charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, Castor said.

Salamone flew a 1967 Piper Cherokee erratically around Philadelphia for more than three hours Thursday evening before being escorted down by a police helicopter, officials said. Salamone has been released from custody.

He is the president of a concrete company. Calls to his business were not returned.

Salamone faces two citations from the Federal Aviation Administration for flying through airspace around a major airport without the agency's approval.

FAA spokesman Jim Peters said Salamone has no prior aviation accidents, incidents or enforcement actions. The agency said it could suspend or revoke his pilot's license or impose a civil penalty.

Salamone took off around 6:45 p.m. ET Thursday and at one point flew into the airspace of Philadelphia International Airport without clearance from the FAA, according to Peters.

"Normally if you are piloting out, all you do is you call us and say 'I'd like to proceed in this airspace,' " Peters said. "He didn't do that."

Controllers at the Philadelphia airport contacted Salamone by radio and offered to clear him to land, but "instead of landing, he flew elsewhere," Peters said.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Salamone landed "on his own volition," at Pottstown Limerick Airport, where he keeps a single-engine aircraft, said Mike D'Aries, the airport's manager. The airport is about 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

"From what they can determine, it was pretty obvious that when he landed he was pretty intoxicated," D'Aries said.

We had -30 F last night with the wind chill on Long Island. I can't remember ever seeing it this cold!
