Who the heck wears a jacket while flying? Geez!

Ha funny you mention a jacket. I was going to post something about sweaters yesterday, but I was thinking it was going to be flushed to the lav immediately!

Did you wear them at Skyway?

A few guys did, but I always thought they looked a little goofy. Similar to the guys that wear the long-sleeved shirt without a jacket.

Personal opinion only.

I'll bet you a dollar someone writes and says, "Hey! I love my sweater, you SUCK!" in the next day or so.

Exactly.

No one who flies the Beech at my company wears them. It is the guys who are in the small jets with long range wearing them and for some reason it annoys me to no end. Geez, these wimpos have an APU and they are wearing a sweater, something is not right here. They can come and freeze with me in PQI in January when we are flowed into BOS and the windchill is -20 degrees.

Wimps.

I'd wear the sweater, thankyouverymuch. This boy was raised in Florida and I am a total wuss about the cold wet stuff - I have very thin blood. Anything below 60F and I'm whimpering.

Now, I'm perfectly happy in 100+ weather with humidity. Never really bothers me. Sweat a little, drink a little water.

It's 0430 in Ironwood, MI, in the U.P. It's March, but temp is only 4 degrees. Fahrenheit. The plane is cold soaked with an inch of snow on top. You'll be done with the first (35 min.) leg by the time the plane warms up. You better believe I'm wearing my jacket up front. Lookin' cool is ok, but cold hurts.

Those boys from the SW don't know 'nothin bout the cold. :sarcasm:

I'd think that the jacket would be taken off and put into the jacket closet for flying and then put back on once finished and not on the deck.

Like when I wear my business suit, I only wear my jacket during certain times of the day.

Unless you're in 901, then in that case the plane would still be at 4 degrees until halfway to MKE, where it suddenly gets unbearably HOT! :D

the only time I have seen a somebody up front wearing one is on XJT, in "chilly" Cleveland.

Only reason I know this is because the CA had to close the door because the FA couldnt get it to close. The FA was new but gave good service.
