So I\'m surfing JC at work

...and the captain walks up and says, "Oh, I just finished that one last week...."

"Huh?"

"Yeah", and points at the monitor, "I just finished the whole thing last week..."

"Oh, hahaha" (blank stare, insincere laugh)

"The internet, I just finished the whole thing!"

"Oh! Ha! Now I get it! That's an "FO trick", you know, the "don't know what the captain is talking about so I'll give you the courtesy laugh so you leave me alone"-type thing!"

I had so many pax make comments like that to me over the years, you just learn to put on the fake smile, give a little laugh, and try not to say "Yeah, that was funny the first HUNDRED times I heard that......"

LOL....have you seen the Comcast commercial that he stole that from? it's a high-speed internet commercial and the guy walks in the room looking pretty overwhelmed.

So, his wife looks at him and says, "I thought you were surfing the internet" and he ersponds " I finished it. . ."

Pretty cheesy, but funny!

Amber, I imagine you FAs get as good at that laugh as theme park works. Everyone's a comedian in the theme parks, and they all think they're the first ones to say it. Here's an example since I'm feeling nostalgic....

Working the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (aka the Peoplemover to all you old school Disney types), there is a turntable we have to walk on. We're basically walking in place for about 20-45 minutes at a time. So, about every five minutes (or less) a guest will come up and say "So, you ever feel like your walking all day and not getting anywhere." To them, this is the funniest thing they've ever said. To me, I just want to throw them over the side into the tables of the restaurant below us.

Yup, it's about the same thing!

At Eagle it was:
"So, how long before you get to move up and fly the big airplanes?"
"You're just the right height for these airplanes!" (I'm 5'2")
"I'll have the steak!" (By far the most common.)
"What's the movie on this flight?"

My favorite is "Is this thing safe?" I always answered with a big smile, "I don't know, it's my first day flying!"
