Anyone know what websites i can find snowtams and braking action for domestic airports? Ex: jfk, msp, atl, etc etc..
Thanks..
Thanks...http://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch/ is always a good place to start. They have FICON and Braking action where it's reported.
Funny, my standards and training manager just asked me the same thing about an hour ago... Hrm
As Boilers said, look in the NOTAMS for ficon reports. Additionally we dial up the tower freqs on liveAtc.net when available.
Internationally some stations will put contamination reports in the metar remarks
Thanks...
Yea i mostly work with japan snowtams but was a little lost with domestic stuff..
For Canadian airports select 'Local Notam Only:' https://flightplanning.navcanada.ca/cgi-bin/CreePage.pl?Langue=anglais&NoSession=NS_Inconnu&Page=Fore-obs/notam&TypeDoc=html
Some US airports also list them like KCLE: http://www.clevelandairport.com/Airport-Guide/Airport-Operations.aspx
Failing that as mentioned earlier they can appear as notams:
