Snap On

Well i got my Snap on tools and toolbox for my AMT course. The only problem is after opening the box for the toolbox I found out that the keys they gave me dont unlock the box. Is there something different I need to do or did they just send me a bad set of keys. Has anyone else had such a problem. I guess I have to wait until Monday to call them. It really sucks. Its like getting a new Christmas present and cant play with it.

I feel your pain. A large job box and a roll away chest I bought from other companies both came with mismatched keys. They will make it right.

I suggest you call your vendor ASAP to give him a heads up. Insist he make it right by Monday unless your class schedule allows you to accept a later date. Remember, you'll be developing a relationship with this guy.

Wow. That sucks! Agree with the above advice.

....should've gone with Cornwell. :sarcasm:

My mx buddies back home once showcased their tool boxes to me.
I asked how much it was, and I'm still shocked it can't fly itself for that kind of money.

Best/worst thing about hanging around the shop, "Hey fellas, I'm horrible at putting things back together. I always have left over pieces."
"Show him the bottom drawer.'"
"I wish I didn't see that."

No the damn keys don't turn at all. The number on the keys match the number on the lock so I think they sent the right keys.I bought the tools and box fron Snapon online because I could never get the local vendor to return my calls. I wanted to get everything before classes start in mid Jan. Hopefully Snapon will rectify the suituation tomorrow.

Good luck, and enjoy the learning process. I got my A&P a few months ago, and being in school (even though I was looking forward to be done with it) will always be a memorable time.
