Small Corporate Jobs

Does anyone fly or manage a small twin or single engine for a small Part 91 outfit? Not King Airs or PC-12's, but like Barons, Senecas, 310s, Bonanzas, etc.

Who used to have a job like this and then moved on to larger operations?

Yah, when I'm not sportin' the Purple'n'Orange, I do some flyin' for a local exec in his Seneca I. Mostly just SoCal flying.

I managed a baron for three years while I was in college. Graduated flew PC-12,king airs, citations, lears, GII/III, and now in school for a GIV. So yes it is very doable to start in something like that, and though I don't/didn't manage any of the bigger stuff the experience has been very helpful.

I used to manage an SR22T for a guy and a Columbia 400 for another and made great money for flying piston singles. I got bored of doing it, so I handed the management off to a friend and started flying turboprops. The owners have not moved up into larger aircraft, so I'm kind of glad I left.

To add on Pay2 the owner of my Baron has not moved up to a bigger plane either, but for his needs the Baron is PERFECT. I have heard of a lot of owners that have moved up to bigger better planes. Including lots of companies/departments that moved into large cabin class jet airplanes. It all depends on the owner/company.

I did this for years in barons and bonanza's and I found it to be lots of fun and made good money doing it. I also have moved on to turbine equipment but I have lots of great memories flying throughout the southeast in barons. Not much to it just gotta find a good mechanic that you can really deal with and take good care of the planes for the owners. Dont be afraid of the vacuum and a little tin of wax.
